Our September BOX OF THE MONTH is here - and it’s an extra-special one!!
 
As the heat-wave dissipates, the days turn a little crisper and autumn edges closer, we’re keeping things truly grand - because September marks an amazing 5 years of The Box Of Cheese! To celebrate half a decade of sharing incredible artisan cheese with you, we’ve put together a lineup featuring four of our absolute all-time favourites.
 
Whether you’re wrapping up the last of the garden evenings or getting cosy indoors with a glass of something rich and red, this board is a proper celebration of British cheesemaking at its best:
 
OLD WINCHESTER – An exceptional local favourite. Hard, crystalline, and aged to perfection, offering a rich, nutty depth with a Parmesan-style finish. (Vegetarian, Pasteurised, Cows’ milk)
BARKHAM BLUE – A multi-award-winning, rich blue cheese with a distinct ammonite shape. Creamy, buttery, and remarkably smooth with a gentle, melt-in-the-mouth tang. Possibly our favourite ever cheese. (Vegetarian, Pasteurised, Cows’ milk)
PAVÉ COBBLE – A stunning ash-coated sheep's milk cheese from Somerset. Soft, silky, and delicately tangy with a gorgeous citrus complexity. This appeared way back in our first ever Box Of The Month in 2021 and we still love it! (Vegetarian, Unpasteurised, Sheeps’ milk)
SPARKENHOE RED LEICESTER – The only traditional, raw-milk Red Leicester made on a farm in Leicestershire. Nutty, complex, and wrapped in cloth for a deep, authentic flavour. What a beauty! (Unpasteurised, Cows’ milk)
